Chapter 1 set the stage for what is to come in future chapters as well as defined key terms. It fostered the idea that everyone can & should be a leader both in the classroom & school-wide. This chapter; as well as the conference I attended this summer, "21st Century Learning", both supported the importance of "lighting the fire within" ~ Motivation being the key to success. It is important to have positive energy, extensive & on-going modeling, and expect success.
